Southern Alberta town moves Halloween up by a day

RAYMOND, Alta. - All ghosts, goblins, witches and warlocks take note: a southern Alberta community is moving Halloween up by a day.

The mayor of Raymond says the town has rescheduled spooky activities when Halloween falls on a Sunday for the last 45 years.

Town council unanimously approved the move again for this year.

Mayor George Bohne says there's been nothing but positive feedback.

Bohne adds residents like to have Sundays set aside for faith or for families to spend time together. (CHQR)
